Lead in School Drinking Water

At Handyman's we are staying up to date on revisions to the regulations on lead in school drinking water.

We have been working with the technicians at Elkay. They have confirmed that the Elkay water filters on drinking fountains and bottle fillers will take the lead levels below 5 parts per billion in most communities.

If your water fountain does not have a filter, or if it is currently being bypassed, it is recommended that a filter be installed if lead levels are testing above the new state standard of 5 parts per billion. Retrofit kits are available to be installed on most Elkay units.
